Lawrence Roulston

Lawrence Roulston | Director, CEO and President

Mr. Roulston is a mining professional with over 35 years of diverse experience in the mining industry. He is Managing Director of WestBay Capital Advisors, providing business advisory and capital markets expertise to the junior and mid-tier sectors of the mining industry; he also serves as a director to several resource companies. From 2014-2016 he was President of Quintana Resources Capital, which provided resource advisory services for US private investors. Before Quintana, he was a mining analyst and consultant, and the editor of "Resource Opportunities", an independent investment publication focused on the mining industry.  Mr. Roulston has graduate-level training in business and holds a B.Sc. in geology.

Paul Metcalfe

Paul Metcalfe | Director and VP, Exploration

Dr. Metcalfe is a volcanologist and geochemist whose 40-year career integrates experience with major, mid-tier and junior mineral exploration companies, the Geological Survey of Canada, B.C. Geological Survey Branch and U.B.C.’s Mineral Deposit Research Unit. He has focused predominantly in the Cordillera of North and South America and worked extensively on intrusion-related gold systems; his experience in the Golden Triangle spans three decades of regional to deposit-scale geology in the Iskut River, Eskay Creek and Stewart camps. Dr. Metcalfe holds a B.Sc. (Honours) in Geology from the University of Durham, an M.Sc. in Geology from the University of Manitoba and a PhD. in Geology from the University of Alberta. He is a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.), registered in BC. 

B. Marie Brannstrom

B. Marie Brannstrom | Director and VP, Operations

Ms. Brannstrom holds a B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Earth Sciences from Simon Fraser University. She began her fifteen year career in mineral exploration in the Snippaker Creek – Iskut River area of the Golden Triangle. Since then, Ms. Brannstrom’s experience has consisted almost exclusively of exploration for intrusion-related mineral deposits, including: Donlin-style porphyry gold in Alaska, Zeballos-type gold veins on  Vancouver Island, iron oxide copper gold and porphyry mineralization in northern Mexico and Texas Creek plutonic suite in the Golden Triangle.

Richard Savage | Director

Richard Savage began his career as an Investment Advisor at Yorkton Securities (which became Richardson GMP) in 1988 and remained there 28 years. Richard was consistently one of the top producing advisors for many years. He was part of Yorkton, one of the top mining and technology firms in Canada, and a member of Yorkton’s Board of Directors 2000-2001. Throughout his career he served and managed a diverse client base of over 2000 accounts and was responsible for raising funds for Initial Public Offerings, Private Placements, Capital Pool Companies.

Richard believes in giving back to the community and served on Macquarie Group Foundation’s Board of Directors from 2009 to 2012. He is a former Director (20 years) of Artists For Kids, which provides art education for the children of British Columbia. In addition, he is a current Director (7 years) of The Gordon and Marion Smith Foundation, which supports and encourages community engagement in the arts.


Michael Marchand

Michael Marchand | Technical Advisor

Dr. Marchand P. Geol has worked as a geologist for over 50 years and is currently working as an independent mineral resource consultant in the areas of business development, innovation and mineral exploration strategies. He has over 20 years of public company experience having served as a director and in executive positions, including president. He has volunteered with a number of scientific and industry associations, including 12 years as a director with The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) and continues to serve on the PDAC Securities and Geoscience committees. Dr. Marchand has operated in most provinces and territories in Canada and brings his wide experience with people, technologies, governments and institutions, along with the awareness of societal, environmental and governance issues in the industry to bear on the success of Auramex. Dr. Marchand holds a B.Sc. (Honours) and a M.Sc. in Geology from McGill University and a Ph.D. in Geology from McMaster University.

David Kennedy | Technical Advisor

Mr. Kennedy is a consulting geologist with over 40 years of experience in the mineral exploration industry; his career spans all aspects of the industry from project generation to management.  He holds a B.Sc degree in Geology from Acadia University and is a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.), registered in BC.  Mr. Kennedy has extensive experience in British Columbia with a particular focus on the Stewart Camp.
